We supply compliance certificates, fire tags, full test results and opinions from the CSIRO so that you can have peace of mind that your project will not be compromised.
GBC can supply two classification of Fire Resistance
The first classification prevents the spread of fire and smoke. The penetration of heat radiation will be only hindered and not prevented.
The second classification not only prevents the spread of fire and smoke, but also the penetration of thermal radiation.
Fire Rating Level is categorised by structural adequacy/ Integrity/ Insulation.
It should be noted that the definition of integrity includes structural collapse, a system which achieves integrity automatically achieves structural adequacy for the same period. Therefore FRL -/60/- and -/90/- is equivalent to FRL 60/60/- and 90/90/-.
Insulation relates to "radiated heat"?
Radiated heat is similar to light, it does not warm the air through which it passes but directly heats objects such as people. We can supply glass blocks that prevents Radiated heat passing through the glass block for 90 minutes.
GBC can supply tests and opinions to satisfy your council requirements
GBC only use products and materials that were involved in extensive tests and approved by the CSIRO to Australian Standard 1530.4-1997.
Quality Italian Seves Glass Blocks have been tested and passed for FRL -/60/-, -/90/- , 60/60/60, 90/90/90 and -/120/60 for walls and FRL 60/60/30, 60/60/60 and 120/120/90 for floors and ceilings.

GBC Provide
Compliance Certificates
Upon completion GBC will issue a signed and dated compliance certificate stating the Fire REsistance Class, Standards and Test Number for submission to the relevant building authorities.
If a compliance certificate is not issued - then the panel may be deemed as non-compliant.
Fire Tags
GBC attach fire tags to all fire rated panels. The tags are numbered and recorded so they can be easily traced.
Full CSIRO Test results and reports
To verify that the tested panels correspond with Australian FRL standards. GBC can provide these prior to installation if required.
